Ghanaian salesboy Agyapong, who gained attention after using his boss’s business funds to finance his trip to Canada, has finally addressed the situation.
In a video captured at the airport before his departure, Agyapong expressed remorse and pleaded for forgiveness from his boss and others whose money he diverted for his travel. He acknowledged that his actions were intentional, stating that he felt confident no one would have supported his ambitions if he had asked directly for help.
“If I had genuinely asked, they wouldn’t have helped me,” he explained, emphasizing that he views traveling abroad as essential for securing a better future.
Despite facing significant backlash, Agyapong promised to repay every cedi to those he affected once he is settled abroad. His remarks have sparked a heated discussion online, with some condemning his behavior as dishonest and criminal, while others argue that his actions highlight the desperate circumstances many young Ghanaians face in search of better opportunities.
